Sometimes, all it takes is the magic of a few specially handcrafted memories… To get you to fall in love hard, all over again.
When it was time for the wedding bells to ring, and the wedding planning was in full flow, high school sweethearts, Sahil and Ananya only wanted the best of the best.
“I remember the first time I saw her in class, on her first day at high school. The prettiest girl I had laid my eyes on, and when she spoke to introduce herself, I knew this was the girl I wanted to marry.” Remarks successful entrepreneur and IIT-B graduate Sahil Sharma on recounting the first time he met the love of his life, his now wife Ananya Joshi.
“That was the first time I laid my eyes on her, and even though picturing it in my head still feels fantastic, yet gradually all other details are now becoming hazy and blurrier than ever, however this day is so crystal clear in my head that I wish I could relive it every single day.” Read on, to find out how this couple made their magical day, even more special.
“Wedding is the day every girl in her life has dreamt about since she was little. I did not want to compromise on any aspect. I remember going through details with our wedding planner who suggested VR. Both Sahil and I were completely new to this, but once we experienced a short film on VR, we both knew that this is exactly what we wanted.” Ananya too was enthralled on being introduced to wedding VR, a relatively new concept.
Picture this, any minute of the day that you want to go back to your wedding day, you don’t just have to bring out that old photo album with countless photographs which although holds its own rustic charm, is yet not quite enough. You can instead put on a VR headset, or even view the VR film on your mobile phone or computer and completely immerse yourself back to that glorious day, a lot like travelling back to time. Each time you view it, you might spot something you missed before. That’s the beauty of VR, the 360o experience that literally captures every moment with such precision, that you find something new all the time.
The best part about including VR in your wedding videography, is that your wedding is not only exclusive to you, but it is a timeless experience that can be shared with anyone with access to it across various platforms not only restricted to VR headsets, but mobiles and laptops as well.
“When the VR video came out and my father saw it for the first time I was shocked to see his eyes filled to the brim with tears as he witnessed my Vidaai again. On the other hand, my mother let out a toothy beam when my brother lifted me up out of Sahil’s reach during the Varmaala ceremony” recalls Ananya fondly.
The groom’s kin shared similar experiences upon their viewing of the wedding film in VR. The cousins jested on each other’s antics in the background, while the uncles and aunts saw themselves engrossed in hogging delicious meals. To the couple, it meant something entirely different. “As I watch her decked in fine bridal wear from head to toe, the most beautiful and stunning woman in my life, slowly approach me with that nervous smile, my own stomach did summersaults and I could feel the adrenaline rush again. If we ever fight, all I need to do is pull out the video and renew our vows, and our love is only rekindled and strengthened.”
Their experience with virtual reality was so hearty that they recommend it to everyone and for all occasions. “A lot of people could not make it to our wedding, but upon sharing our virtual film with them, they hardly missed a thing! I can’t wait for the time when I can share this with our kids when they ask us about our wedding.”
Everyone craves going through a once in a lifetime experience, with VR you have the magic of your wedding day replaying over and over again.
